CTRL + Me: Who's Behind the Code?

Why did you choose web development?

At the end of 2023, I decided to take a major turn in my career and dive into software and web development. I’ve always been passionate about science and technology, and coding felt like the perfect playground for my curiosity.

Are you self-taught?

Absolutely! I’ve always loved learning new things, and programming was no exception. Since 2023, I’ve built strong skills in .NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through self-study and hands-on projects (many of which were created in the late hours of the night).

What drives you the most?

Problem-solving and creation. Where some see roadblocks, I see challenges waiting to be tackled. Whether it’s debugging a tricky piece of code or designing a new feature, I love the process of turning ideas into reality.

What does a day in your life look like?

Coding, debugging, deploying, and occasionally humming a tune while fixing tricky bugs. My routine revolves around designing and implementing efficient and innovative web applications.

Why should we work together?

If you’re looking for a developer who approaches every challenge with enthusiasm, precision, and a touch of creativity, I’d love to explore how my skills can contribute to your project’s success!

Main Work Experience
  • As a full-stack .NET Developer within the Application Maintenance (TMA) team for the PACA region, I played a key role in maintaining, improving, and developing web applications and software solutions tailored to our client's needs. I actively contributed to troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems while also participating in the creation of new features and applications. Additionally, I was responsible for writing technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and streamline development processes.

  • Professional Retraining
After three years in the industry and successfully defending my PhD thesis, I wanted to give a new direction to my career by exploring a field that has fascinated me for years: software development. To achieve this, I joined a three-month training program with AJC Formation as part of an Operational Employment Preparation (POE). This experience allowed me to learn the fundamentals of object-oriented programming and enhance my skills in various frameworks and programming languages.

  • For three years, I worked as a doctoral researcher at Claranor, in collaboration with INRAE laboratories, conducting advanced research on microbiological decontamination using pulsed light and ultraviolet radiation. My work contributed to optimizing this innovative technology, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional chemical methods. I led strategic research projects, combining scientific modeling, laboratory experimentation, and industrial validation, with significant applications in food safety and packaging sterilization. These efforts resulted in the publication of three scientific articles and several oral communications at scientific conferences, strengthening Claranor's expertise and the academic recognition of my research. This experience enabled me to develop a unique blend of technical and scientific skills, crucial for technological innovation.

My projects

I've worked on a variety of projects, from simple websites to complex web applications. Here are a few of my favorites.

L'énigme Du Sorcier 🪄

A Harry Potter-themed guessing game with three unique modes, built from scratch to engage a passionate fan community. This project highlights my web development skills, from crafting an intuitive user experience to implementing challenging game mechanics. I handled the entire development process—front-end, back-end, data creation, database management, and responsive design—to deliver a seamless, immersive experience (available in French only). With my wife, who is a huge Harry Potter fan, we continuously enhance the game and develop new modes based on player feedback to keep the experience fresh and engaging.

Crêpes & Coffee 🍔

I developed a showcase website for a restaurant at the owner's request, helping customers easily find practical information such as the menu, history, promotions, and contact details. This project was an opportunity to explore a new tech stack—React, Tailwind CSS, and DaisyUI—which I had never used before. Through hands-on experience, I quickly adapted, building a modern, responsive, and visually appealing interface. It was both a fun and rewarding challenge that strengthened my front-end development skills.
